Just got this update from Jake in an email:
"I was eating some more pig face last night and had a disgusting experience. For lunch yesterday it was good. It was kind of crispy crunchy and it tasted pretty good. So I had some more last night and I ran into a piece of the face that I recognized. It was the eye socket and I almost threw up. I tried so hard not to look like I was going to, hopefully no one noticed because me and my boss were eating out with the entire office. The meat is just a bunch of ground up little pieces. It looks a lot like corned beef hash and tastes a little different but I ran into a meaty chunk and turned it over and there was a perfectly formed eyelid with all of the lashes sticking straight out of it and I almost vomited..."

Jake - It could have been worse. My first week in the Philippines I ate dog for dinner at a birthday party and had balút (boiled duck embryo. eaten with salt). Got to love the Phils!

That's really gross. I'm moving somewhere overseas this year. I'll make sure to avoid the Philippines.

I was a little confused with your choice until I went lower down on the blog and saw that you were away enjoying cultural experiences. AJ I'm would have loved to see you while you were visiting with Heather, but alas we were out of town all weekend. Love you anyway.
