I am home for the Holidays. Jake and I took an extended vacation and quit our jobs the last days of Thanksgiving break. We stopped early so Jake could go on the surf trip to Mexico and I would not be left alone packing everything and I was more than happy to stop both my jobs. So, jobless,homeless has left us for the month of December at my humble abode in Sonoma. It is so darn beautiful and quaint but I would never want to live here again, just visit. It is a little foggy today but it is not cold or snowing so I am perfectly content. Some of my favorite things about Sonoma is the kitchen store I worked at for 5 years, Sign Of The Bear, the vineyards that remind me of Italy, the food (Mary's Pizza Shack, Happy Dog, Grandma's Pizza, Della Santina's, The Basque and the list continues), my home ward that I grew up in and my family. I was happy to come home and open some wedding gifts lingering from last year and the two huge bags my parents took for Jake and I when we moved from Hawaii in June. Number one appliance I was looking forward to embracing again...my Necci sewing machine I recieved when I was 18.

yes, you're very welcome to stay with us on your way up to seattle! we'll take you to all the hip places of portland - so i'll have to do some research to figure out where they are. however, i'm not sure if we'll be around. we too will be driving up to seattle a few days after christmas (friday the 28th to be exact). so maybe we can caravan? or something? are you guys hanging with us new years eve? it's the cool thing to do....
