Stew Surprise

Just got this update from Jake in an email:
"I was eating some more pig face last night and had a disgusting experience. For lunch yesterday it was good. It was kind of crispy crunchy and it tasted pretty good. So I had some more last night and I ran into a piece of the face that I recognized. It was the eye socket and I almost threw up. I tried so hard not to look like I was going to, hopefully no one noticed because me and my boss were eating out with the entire office. The meat is just a bunch of ground up little pieces. It looks a lot like corned beef hash and tastes a little different but I ran into a meaty chunk and turned it over and there was a perfectly formed eyelid with all of the lashes sticking straight out of it and I almost vomited..."

Missy Miss Ya

I am going to miss this little girl so much. I got to play (nanny) her all summer and loved every minute of it. It would be an understatement to say she is the smartest, sweetest, most intuitive little one. Thanks Carrie and Shane for sharing her with me. 

Gone Baby Gone

Sad day. Jake left today. He will be flying for 20+ hours today. He will be gone until Sept.7. A week in the Philippines and then India the second week. I am such a baby and miss him a lot.

ACTION:
1. I bite the inside of my bottom lip on the right side.
2. I am constantly spinning a pen when I am sitting at desk/table for long periods of time.
3. When I am walking I swing my arms, big time.

BEHAVIOR:
4. I TALK a lot. I am trying to work on that. {When I am talking I usually agree with people just to agree, I am trying to be more assertive with my actual opinions/thoughts}
5. I am generally a late person. I learned it from my old man.

PERSONALITY:
5. I like to socialize. But I tend to over due it a little. I will come home and tell Jake about 5 appointments he had no idea we had and how he has to participate in all of them with me.

MANNERISM:
6. When I notice someone has lost weight I like to tell them. But again, I overdue it and then make them feel awkward {and then I feel awkward and realize I should not make such a big deal as if they were huge before.}

Golden

I stayed up really late watching this game. This team is unstoppable. It made me miss volleyball a lot.

Butt Hurt

Sunday night Jake and I started on what we thought was a casual bike ride enjoying the warm weather. Little did we know we would continue riding another 8.5 miles to his parents house in Redmond. We were both in sandals and I was in a skirt. I wish I had warn better clothes. The last 10 minutes it started to rain and it felt lovely.

This is from when Jake and I first started dating. We had a crazy idea to ride our bikes from Laie to just past Pipeline. It was fun but hard.

MGMT

Another find from my awesome husband. They were on some of the 'night shows' earlier this year. There videos are all a little freaky but I absolutely can not get enough of this album. You may have also heard 'time to pretend' and 'electric feel'. 

Doings

Quick note:
*I took a mediocre course on positive support for students with Autism at UW last week. It was long, some really good new thoughts and very repetitive. The highlight of my week was taking the bus from Woodinville to Seattle. I LOVE public transportation. It is so cheap, one less car being driven, free time during the commute to read etc. and the drive into Seattle is absolutley spectacular spectacular.
*Today was my first day to go back to work. I have teacher training through the distrcit this week. My students do not actually come until Sept. 8 but I will be around my classroom until then {not everday though}.
*Jake got some wicked awesome presents for his birfday including Wii Carnival game {thanks recklings!} And I seriously {not joking} hurt my elbow playing the squirt gun clown. Boo for being out of shape.
*I just bought my plane ticket for labor day weekend to Salt Lake City to see these really cool people:

Actually my love for you is not limited and continues to grow all the time. Thank you for sharing these last few years of your life with me, I look forward to many more.

Farmers Market

My sister-in-law Carrie and I got some of our crafts together and had a booth at the Issaquah Farmers Market last weekend.

I just liked all these different prints.

Living near Seattle I figured these would sell well.


Carries bows, my pee pee tee pees and re-usable envelopes.

Crayon rolls are a hot item and Carries spectacular bows.
Our awesome support group, the Burnhams.Cute new family with baby Van. Ashley had him just two weeks earlier!
I also had some nursing covers, aprons and placemats.
We will be there for the next few weekends so if anyone is in the area stop by!

B-Ham

Jake and I went to visit his brother and wife, Luke and Lindsay, in Bellingham last weekend. Luke took us to some awesome places up there. Thanks for letting us stay and kicking it with us L&L Fman.

Rad purple starfish. I tried to edit a little so you could see the color but they were a beautiful deep purple.


Luke sells bikes and took us to this awesome bike junkyard called "The Hub". This is just the back of the yard.

Kayak Pt.

In early July Mother and Father Folkman rented a cottage for all of us to come stay for a few days. It was really a nice place. It was the near the water with a great playground and the weather was perfect. Thanks Folkmans!

In honor of being a month late

Here is the 4th of July post. The younger Folkman's went to "The Res" in Auburn to load up on fire works. It was quite the spectacle. They had an open field for people to light em up. It was covered with people and fire work trash.
I did not realize the trailer or honey bucket until today when I was re looking at them.
